UnoTV.com is a news service which sends news vía SMS to users of the company Telcel, ownership of Carlos Slim. This news service has transformed into a news website. UnoTV.com was a pioneer in organizing political debates independent from political parties and with real time questions to the participants from the social media users. In 2011, UnoTV.com broadcasted in live the XVI Pan American Games. For the Grupo Salinas, which represents the competition in free television, this meant a violation of its broadcasting franchise so TV Azteca asked the government to conduct an investigation for this matter. At the end, UnoTV.com was waived.
