The brothers of Ramiro Garza Cantú have been part of the political scene in the State of Tamaulipas while he was doing business. He has assisted many friends and family members in taking positions as elected officials in the government of the State of Tamaulipas. His brother Rigoberto was the Mayor of Reynosa, State of Tamaulipas, for the PRI political party in the period 1993-1995. He died in McAllen, Texas, in 2015, after being in coma for several days.
