Grupo Multimedia Lauman SAPI de C.V
It is a consortium with investments in telecommunications, communications media and construction; with presence in Mexico, Brazil and Central America, according to the webpage of World Economic Forum.
In 2012, Grupo Multimedia Lauman bought the newspaper El Financiero from the Cárdenas Estandia family for 5 million US dollars and additional 300 million Mexican pesos that the Group paid for an overdue debt of the familiy. The new phase of El Financiero is marked by a strategic alliance with Bloomberg - a media and financial analysis company, thanks to which the Group enters the cable TV market, internet and mobile phone applications.
Since its relaunching, El Financiero received more government contracts for government publicity which goes along with its editorial policy favorable to the Secretary of Finance, as was pointed out by Jenaro Villamil - jouirnalist specialized in commmunications media.

In different business articles he has been pointed as the person whose name has been used for the illegal activities of the former president of the Senate Ernesto Cordero from the political party PAN (National Action Party); and for the former spokesperson of the Mexican president, Alejandra Sota.
