Milenio Televisión started as pay TV news channel and in 2009 it started broadcasting on local open TV channles. At the end of 2017 it was broadcasted on free channels in four states, two capital cities and three other highly populated cities in the north of the country. In 2016 Grupo Multimedios sales 50% of Televisión Internacional S.A de C.V to Grupo Televisa S.A.B. – which already owned the other 50%. Multimedios on the other hand becomes a shareholder of Televisa's Corporativo Vasco de Quiroga S.A de C.V.
