Las Estrellas (Canal 2 XEW-TV)
Las Estrellas is the leading channel of Grupo Televisa and the second oldest in the country. It transmits informational content and entertainment programmes. In 2016 it announced modifications in its programmes and it changed its name and logo. Isaac Lee was named General Director of Contents of Televisa and Univisión (he quit this job in 2018). The channel substitutes the nocturnal news operator Joaquín López Dóriga who was at this position for 16 years. Grupo Televisa S.A.B. also expands its pay TV programme in 2016 by purchasing Televisión Internacional S.A. de C.V. from Grupo Multimedios.

Las Estrellas is the property of Grupo Televisa S.A.B. The Group on the other hand is owned by the trusteeship Fideicomiso Azcárraga and by investors at the Mexican and New York Stock Exchange: institutions, natural persons, investment funds. Yet, Grupo Televisa has always belonged to the Azcarraga Family.
Voting Rights

Emilio Azcárraga Vidaurreta - Magnate and pioneer in the Mexican radio and television broadcast. In the 1950s, his company Televimex S.A. gets for the second time the permission to operate the TV channel Canal 2 - now called Las Estrellas. Together with the concessionaires of the channels 4 and 5 he co-founded the company Telesistema Mexicano S.A. in order to operate the TV channels without violating the anti-trust laws. His son, Emilio Azcárraga Milmo, founded Televisión Vía Satélite S.A (Televisa) in 1973, previously known as Telesistema Mexicano S.A.

Alfonso de Angoitia Noriega - Executive Co-President of Grupo Televisa S.A.B. since January 2018 (before that he was the Executive Vice President and former Vice President of Finance of the Group). In 2016 Panama Papers revealed that he is a beneficiary of a company with HQ in the Bahamas, linked to the Panamanian firm Mossack Fonseca. A month later, The Wall Street Journal comes out with allegations against the Group's executive for assumed deflection of revenues through money laundering schemes - the revenues were coming from the public budget, political parties and other sources. De Angoitia is a member of the managing boards of Univision Communications Inc., Grupo Financiero Banorte and Fomento Económico Mexicano, S.A.B. de C.V. (FEMSA).

However, information on its website points to Bernardo Gómez Martínez as the responsible for contents for Noticieros Televisa and the websites Las Estrellas, Televisa News and Televisa.
Briefing notes that cite the agency EFE identify Isaac Lee Possin as the President of the Editorial Concil of the web portal Animal Político in 2010. The web sites of Televisa and Univision do not mention Lee related to any position.
